Rules and conditions for using the ReFeed service

Terms of Service

1. Definitions

For the purposes of these Terms of Service, the following terms have the meaning given to them below:

  • Service: refers to the ReFeed platform accessible via the website refeed.news, enabling the generation of personalized briefs by artificial intelligence
  • User: refers to any natural or legal person using the Service
  • Brief: refers to the personalized news summary generated by artificial intelligence
  • Persona: refers to the personalized editorial profile enabling the generation of adapted briefs
  • Publisher: refers to the company CODE IS LAW SAS, registered with the Paris Trade and Companies Register under number 897 488 615, whose registered office is located at 122 rue Amelot, 75011 Paris, France

2. Acceptance of ToS

These Terms of Service govern the use of the ReFeed Service. Access to and use of the Service implies full and complete acceptance of these ToS by the User.

In case of disagreement with any part of these conditions, the User is prohibited from using the Service.

3. User Contract Duration

This contract is concluded for an indefinite period. It takes effect upon use of the Service by the User and may be terminated at any time by either party under the conditions set out in these ToS.

4. Use of Service

4.1 Service Description

The ReFeed Service constitutes an AI-automated press review platform accessible at refeed.news. It enables the generation of personalized briefs tailored to the specific needs of each User, relying on advanced artificial intelligence technologies. The Service also provides automatic delivery of these briefs via electronic mail according to preferences expressed by the User, as well as content personalization based on predefined personas allowing for adjustment of the tone and editorial angle of the proposed summaries.

4.2 Service Access

The Service is available free of charge to any User with an internet connection at refeed.news. Access to the Service allows the User to view generated briefs in real time, subscribe to receive briefs via electronic mail according to a customizable frequency, and personalize their content preferences in order to optimize the relevance of the information transmitted to them.

5. Subscription

5.1 Brief Subscription

Subscribing to receive briefs via electronic mail constitutes a voluntary process requiring the provision of a valid and functional electronic mail address. This subscription necessarily implies confirmation via double opt-in, thereby guaranteeing the explicit consent of the User, as well as full and complete acceptance of these Terms of Service.

5.2 Required Data

The User undertakes to provide accurate and up-to-date information during their registration. The required data includes notably the User's electronic mail address, their linguistic preferences for receiving briefs, their preferred delivery time as well as their timezone, this information being necessary for the proper functioning of the Service and the personalization of the proposed content.

6. Effects of Termination

6.1 Free Unsubscription

The User has the right to unsubscribe freely and without condition, which they may exercise at any time unilaterally. This unsubscription may be carried out either through the unsubscribe link present in each electronic mail sent by the Service, or by contacting our customer service directly who will proceed with the unsubscription as soon as possible.

6.2 Effect of Unsubscription

The User's unsubscription results in the immediate and definitive cessation of brief delivery via electronic mail. The User's personal data is retained in accordance with our data retention policy, as defined in our Privacy Policy, in compliance with applicable legal obligations.

7. Suspension of User Contract Execution and its Effects

The Publisher expressly reserves the right to suspend, temporarily or permanently, access to the Service for any User in case of violation of these Terms of Service, fraudulent use of the Service, or non-compliance with established terms of use. This suspension may occur without prior notice and without the Publisher being held responsible for the consequences of this measure.

8. Causes of User Contract Execution Suspension

The causes of suspension of User Contract execution include notably cases of force majeure, scheduled maintenance operations necessary for the proper functioning of the Service, security updates intended to protect the integrity of the Service and User data, technical improvements to the Service, as well as any violation of these ToS by the User. The Publisher will endeavor to notify concerned Users when possible, without this notification being mandatory.

9. Intellectual Property

9.1 Service Ownership

All elements comprising the ReFeed Service, including the refeed.news platform, intelligent news source selection algorithms, artificial intelligence technologies, persona-based personalization systems, user interfaces, databases, source codes, logos, trademarks, trade names, as well as any other intellectual creation developed by the Publisher, are and remain the exclusive property of the Publisher or its partners, and are protected by French and international laws relating to intellectual property.

9.2 Trademarks and Branding Elements

The "ReFeed" trademark, the logo consisting of the stylized letter "R" in a color gradient, the overall visual identity of the Service, as well as all graphic, typographic and aesthetic elements associated with the Service are registered or pending trademarks by the Publisher and may not be used without express authorization.

9.3 AI-Generated Content and Press Publishers' Rights

The briefs generated by the Service constitute synthesis and analysis works created by the Publisher, who retains the intellectual property rights thereto. The User benefits from a personal and non-commercial right to use the received briefs, in compliance with these ToS. The Publisher fully recognizes and respects that press publishers remain holders of all intellectual property rights on their original publications cited in the press reviews. ReFeed claims no intellectual property rights on the original content of press articles, which remain the exclusive property of their respective authors and publishers. The Service merely selects, analyzes and synthesizes this content in compliance with citation rights and journalistic practices.

9.4 User Rights

The User retains ownership of their personal data and personalization preferences. The User undertakes not to reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works, or use for commercial purposes any element of the Service without prior written authorization from the Publisher.

9.5 Usage Prohibitions

It is strictly forbidden for the User to attempt to circumvent, disassemble, decompile, or extract the source code of the Service, to create competing services based on ReFeed technologies, or to use the Service in a manner that infringes upon the intellectual property rights of the Publisher or third parties.

10. Liability

10.1 Limitation of Liability

The Publisher cannot be held responsible for the accuracy, completeness or relevance of information contained in briefs generated by the Service, this information being derived from external sources and processed by artificial intelligence algorithms. Similarly, the Publisher cannot be held responsible for indirect damages, loss of profits, data loss or any other prejudice resulting from the use of the Service. Temporary Service interruptions, whether due to maintenance operations, technical updates or cases of force majeure, cannot engage the Publisher's responsibility.

10.2 User Responsibility

The User acknowledges and accepts that they are solely responsible for how they use the Service, for protecting their access data and the identifier associated with their account, as well as for complying with these Terms of Service. The User undertakes to use the Service in accordance with its intended purpose and not to infringe upon third-party rights.

11. Disputes

11.1 Amicable Resolution

In case of dispute arising from the interpretation or execution of these Terms of Service, the parties undertake to seek an amicable solution before any legal recourse. This search for an amicable solution will be carried out by exchange of registered mail with acknowledgment of receipt, within a period of thirty days from the notification of the dispute. In the absence of an amicable resolution within this period, the dispute will be brought before competent courts.

11.2 Competent Jurisdiction

These Terms of Service are governed by French law. In case of dispute, and after exhaustion of the amicable resolution procedure provided for in article 11.1, French courts will have sole jurisdiction, regardless of the place of execution of obligations or the domicile of the defendant.

12. Divisibility of Clauses

If one or more stipulations of these Terms of Service are held to be invalid or declared as such under a law, regulation or following a final court decision, the other stipulations retain their full force and scope. In this case, the Publisher undertakes to replace the invalidated stipulation with a valid stipulation having an equivalent object and effect.

13. Applicable Law

These Terms of Service are governed by French law, regardless of conflict of law principles. In case of contradiction between the linguistic versions of these ToS, the French version shall prevail.

14. ToS Updates and Versions

The Publisher reserves the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time, notably to take into account the evolution of applicable legislation or Service features. Significant changes will be notified by electronic mail to registered Users at least fifteen days before their entry into force. The version in force is the one accessible online on the date of Service use by the User.

15. Entry into Force

These Terms of Service enter into force on September 18, 2025. They apply to all Service Users as of this date.

For any questions regarding these Terms of Service, the User may contact the Publisher by electronic mail at the address contact@refeed.com. The Publisher undertakes to respond within a maximum period of thirty working days from receipt of the request.

17. Data Protection

The processing of Users' personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which constitutes a separate but complementary document to these Terms of Service.
